Tennis is one of the area's most popular sports. Sea Palms features professional events and collegiate championships. Public play is available on hard courts at Mallory Park and Epworth park. Jekyll Island's Tennis Center is among the best and other public courts are available on the mainland. Sea Island has tennis available for Members and Guests or Renters of Members.

The Jekyll Island Tennis Center is a public tennis facility featuring 13 Har-tru clay courts. The Tennis Center also includes a pro shop with tennis racket stringing, racket rental, ball machine rental, and tennis equipment and apparel. The Tennis Center offers private instructional lessons and hosts many USTA tournaments for adults and juniors.

Our adult tennis clinics are designed for all skill levels so all players have the opportunity to learn new skills. Tennis clinics are taught by 2 USPTA instructors.

Beginner Players learn the fundamental strokes, grips, and footwork of tennis through drills. Skills taught include: forehand, backhand, volleys, serve and match play.
Intermediate Players focus on perfecting consistency in strokes, footwork and structuring points while incorporating movement in situational drills and match play.
Advanced Players focus on developing a weapon, outstanding consistency, hitting dependable shots under stress, and improving anticipation and agility.

The North Glynn Recreation Complex is a multi-use park located on Harry Driggers Boulevard. The 153 acre facility offers fun for the whole family including: four lighted baseball/softball fields, five lighted football/soccer fields, restrooms, a concession stand, picnic pavilions with grills, batting cages, two dog parks, a 13-acre stocked freshwater lake, a kayak/canoe launch, a fishing pier, a one-mile paved walking trail and a concrete skate park.

Mallery Park is located on Mallery Street just north of Pier Village on St. Simons Island. Kings Park, on the east side of Mallery Street, is an extension of Mallery Park. Combined, these parks offer a basketball court, shuffle boards, tennis courts, Butler Fields (three baseball/softball fields), a playground, concession building with restrooms, two grills and many picnic tables.
